I and my wife had no plan to eat any fine cuisine after visited Edinburgh Castle. But i found this restaurant from google map where was nearby the castle, so we decided to eat our lunch there. This was really no regretful visit, the chef was a French-influenced british guy who served tasty, creative and modernized fine cuisine. We ordered a 3 course lunch set and one a la carte starter as the main course, the lunch set was less than 30 pounds, really worth to eat! Besides, the chef was so generous and gave everyone complimentary small dishes before the starter and main course.

Rustique

28 Castlegate, York, Inglaterra

We chose this restaurant in York for our first evening meal on the Sunday. We booked which is advisable as it is a popular place. I had the French Onion soup which was delicious and then the sea bass on a bed of sweet potato . This was gorgeous. I was with my husband and 2 friends we each had a different main course and all really enjoyed it. We chose a bottle of red wine which was a good one and thought the bill was quite reasonable for such a lovely meal in a pleasant surround.

Harrods Café & Creperie

87-135 Brompton Rd, London

Had occasion to go here with a friend sometime ago and was delighted with the experience. There is a fantastic selection of teas and all served in fine bone china from silver pots. The service itself was second to none and was incredible value, you could pay almost as much and be drinking out of a paper cup and eating from a paper serviette.
