Skeldergate Bridge: Links the York castle and the old bailey. It was built as a toll bridge in 1880. It was declared toll-free on 1 April 1914. Now it's free to go through and it's open all the year.

 

Clifford's Tower: It was part of the York Castle, which was built by William the Conqueror.

- Jorvik Museum: York was a viking village, so you must see this museum. Learn about everything of the vikings' life.

- St. Mary's Abbey: Benedictine abbey with a community of 30 monks. It's also used as an art gallery. It's free, but you can donate to the abbey.

 

- The Shables: The Shables is a very important medieval street. It used to be full of butchers, but now there aren't any of them. It's not usual because the buildings lean into the street. The purpose of this is to cover the meat of the butchers from the sunshine and rain.

 

- York Dungeon: The york dungeon is a scary and fun for everyone where you go in 360º theatres and get scared and laugh a lot!
